THERE IS A BRIDGE CONNECTING HEAVEN AND EARTH.
IT IS CALLED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE BECAUSE OF ITS MANY COLORS. JUST THIS SIDE OF THE RAINBOW BRIDGE THERE IS A LAND OF MEADOWS ,HILLS AND VALLEYS WITH LUSH GREEN GRASS.
WHEN A BELOVED PET DIES, THE PET GOES TO THIS PLACE. THERE IS ALWAYS FOOD WATER AND WARM SPRING WEATHER. THE OLD AND FRAIL ANIMALS ARE YOUNG AGAIN. THOSE WHO ARE MAIMED ARE MADE WHOLE AGAIN. THEY PLAY ALL DAY WITH EACH OTHER. THERE IS ONLY ONE THING MISSING. THEY ARE NOT WITH THE SPECIAL PERSON WHO LOVED THEM ON EARTH.  SO EACH DAY THEY RUN AND PLAY UNTIL THE DAY COMES WHEN ONE SUDDENLY STOPS PLAYING AND LOOKS UP! THE NOSE TWITCHES! THE EARS ARE UP! THE EYES ARE STARING! AND THIS ONE SUDDENLY RUNS FROM THE GROUP!
YOU HAVE BEEN SEEN, AND WHEN YOU AND YOUR SPECIAL FRIEND MEET, YOU TAKE HIM OR HER IN YOUR ARMS AND EMBRACE. YOUR FACE IS KISSED AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, AND YOU LOOK ONCE MORE INTO THE EYES OF YOUR TRUSTING PET.

FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS!

I'm sad to report the passing of a very special member of my family on Monday 11/7/06

Back in the summer of 1987 a small black kitten wandered on to my doorstep into my heart.  Never did I imagine that little animal would have such an impact on my life.  I have grown up with cats in the past and all were wonderful pets, but this one was different.  Chatter quickly learned how to interact with humans and rarely behaved like a typical house cat.  He traveled well and went on many short trips with me.  For the record, he preferred the beds at Hampton Inns.  Chatter didn't know cats aren't supposed to walk on a leash or eat Dunkin Donuts.  I always enjoyed taking him out as he drew a lot of attention from strangers, usually remarking "look at the black cat..."  He seemed to like the attention.  The donuts were stopped following the advise of our vet.

In mid 2001 Chatter went down to the Oncology Lab of The University of Illinois Veterinary Hospital to be treated for hypothyroidism.  He was cured thanks early diagnosis by our vet Dr. Fleming, and the advanced medical science in a first class facility at the University.  Then in late 2002 he was diagnosed with renal failure and was referred to a feline kidney specialist.  Chatter continued to live a very normal life following a strict regiment of several medications and later the addition of fluid injections once a day.  Chatter required three meals a day on 8 hour intervals, then he would come up and wait for his pills after finishing eating.  This summer his renal failure advanced to the point medicine could no longer maintain his health.  He passed away quietly in my sisters arms on Monday afternoon.  He will be missed the rest of my life.
